SIA to launch Premium Economy from August 9: Seats on sale now

SINGAPORE- Singapore Airlines’ newest class of travel, Premium Economy Class, opened for sale today. From August 9, 2015, travellers on some flights from Singapore to Sydney will be the first to experience the new cabin class. It will subsequently be made available to other destinations served by the Airline’s Airbus A380s and Boeing 777-300ERs, in addition to the future fleet of Airbus A350s.

Total investment for the new cabin class, which will initially be introduced on 19 A380s, 19 777-300ERs and the first 20 A350s to come into service, is estimated at USS80 million.

Premium Economy Class will be progressively introduced to other sectors, including Beijing, Delhi, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, London, Mumbai, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo and Zurich in the latter part of 2015 and early 2016.
