HKEx to introduce new Stock Option classes and Stock Futures contracts

HONG KONG - Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce two new stock option classes and 34 new stock futures contracts in batches on Monday, November 30 and Monday, December 7. The two new option classes and 18 of the new stock futures contracts will be rolled out on November 30.

The other 16 new stock futures contracts will be available for trading from the following Monday.  Additional information in SEHK and HKFE circulars.

HKEx has invited applications for market makers for the new options and futures.

Stock options trading volume at HKEx was up 46% in the first 10 months of 2015 on-year, while stock futures trading rose 91%. Stock options accounted for more than half of all futures and options trading at HKEx between January and October of this year. www.hkex.com.hk (ATI).
