PARIS -- The global credit insurer Coface says increased protectionism is affecting a large number of economies - both advanced and emerging.
Use of import tariffs by the U.S., it says, has doubled since 2009, with a sharp increase between 2016 and 2018.
Nevertheless, these tariffs still only account for one-sixth of protectionist measures in place worldwide.
