Iberia, JAL expand codeshare arrangements on Madrid-Tokyo route

TOKYO - In preparation for expansion of joint business on flights between Europe and Japan to include Iberia (IB), the Spanish airline and Japan have announced codeshare arrangements on the routes operated by Iberia between Madrid and Tokyo (Narita), as well as sales of joint fares on applicable routes from of October 18.

Flights from Madrid to Tokyo will leave Madrid at 1.20pm Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, arriving ain Tokyo at 9.35.am next day. Flights to Madrid will depart Tokyo at 11.20.am Wednesday, Saturday and Monday, arriving in Madrid at 6.30pm the same day. Iberia  and Japan Airlines, as well as British Airways and Finnair, have begun selling joint fares on the new services. www.jal.com (ATI).
