September 27, 2017

BEIJING - Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli met with Alexei Miller, CEO of Russia’s natural gas company Gazprom, on Monday, agreeing to broaden co-operation in the energy sector, China’s State newsagency, Xinhua, reported, quoting Zhang as saying that, promoted by leaders of the two countries, Sino-Russian energy co-operation had achieved remarkable results.

The two sides should implement the China-Russia east-route gas pipeline project and strengthen co-operation in upstream oil-gas projects, oil-gas standards as well as gas-fired electricity generation, Zhang was reported as saying.

Xinhua said Zhang stressed that bilateral energy co-operation must adhere to market rules and the principle of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. www.webershandwick.cn (ATI).
